Criminal Law

We have experience representing clients in criminal matters.  We have worked with the San Diego City Attorney's Office to come to agreeable resolutions without trial.

Misdemeanor Weapons Charges

It is unlawful to carry a concealed weapon (including knife) on your person if certain conditions apply under the code.  Usually, the City Attorney will recommend charging a person with multiple counts based on a single alleged unlawful incident.  We can aggressively negotiate with the authorities to try to resolve your case with favorable terms.

Misdemeanor DUI

We can represent you against DUI (driving under the influence) charges.  There are a number of defenses available and a good attorney will examine your Constitutional rights and the weight of any evidence gathered from you.

Representative Matters

• Client was charged with carrying a concealed knife at Lindberg Field while boarding a flight, which happened to be on September 11.  The City Attorney recommended two criminal charges.  After serious negotiations the matter was resolved with probation for one year and the ability to reduce the matter to an Infraction (with no criminal record).

Misdemeanor Cyber Impersonation

New to 2011, Malicious E-Personation is punishable as a misdemeanor in California.  That is, acting like another person through e-mail, social networking sites (including Facebook, Twitter and Myspace) with the requisite intent is punishable as a crime.  We will examine the evidence and your own Due Process rights and ensure that your case is handled fairly.
